OUR STORY

About Us

We only carry designs we believe in — ethically made, authentically crafted.

Swadeshaj Jeevan began with a simple belief: an Indian woman should never have to choose between heritage and ease. Every saree, lehenga, kurti and gown we carry is picked by hand, for the way it falls, the way it photographs, and the way it feels on an ordinary Tuesday as much as on a wedding day.

Made close to home

We work out of Surat, Gujarat — one of the oldest textile centres in the country. Working this close to the looms means we see the fabric before it becomes a garment, and we can walk away from a piece that doesn't meet the standard. Nothing reaches the site that we wouldn't wear ourselves.

What we stand for

  • Exclusive designs. Small runs, chosen by hand — not mass-market catalogue stock.
  • Honest pricing. The price you see is the price you pay, inclusive of all taxes.
  • Ethical making. We work with karigars and units we know by name.
  • Easy returns. Seven days to change your mind, no awkward questions.

Ten thousand and counting

More than ten thousand customers across India have trusted us with an occasion that mattered to them. We don't take that lightly. If a piece isn't right, tell us — we would rather fix it than keep the sale.
